Battery Workforce Skills and Training Grants Released

Australia’s workforce is set to receive an injection of support through the release of Powering Australia’s Battery Workforce Skills and Training Grants (BWST) program. The $1.6 million program will run between now and the end of 2027 featuring several rounds to obtain funding for:

• Training Grants – for organisations seeking to upskill their staff and contribute to a pipeline of skilled workers for the battery sector, ensuring Australia has a future clean energy workforce to aid in the transition to a net zero emissions economy

Program Guidelines have been developed and can be downloaded for review on our Powering Australia grants webpage. This first round of offers ends on December 3rd 2025 with an accompanying Stage 2 to come.
