Horizon 2035

First nations as critical partners

Overview

Australia’s clean energy transition and growth of the clean technology manufacturing sector is a historic opportunity to place First Nations leadership and partnership at the centre of a national industrial and economic transformation.

Over the past eight months, Powering Australia, in collaboration with Cyan, Deloitte and First Nations stakeholders, have developed a sector competitiveness plan for First Nations in the clean-tech manufacturing sector.

The Horizon 2035: First Nations as critical partners report identifies economic and equitable opprtunity pathways as a key enabler to the energy transition, underpinned by three goals: to empower First Nations communities with clean energy, achieve economic benefits with First Nations peoples, and enable equitable partnerships.
