Participating as a panellist at AuWE2025

Did you know that wind energy already generates more than 13% of Australia’s electricity? This share is growing rapidly as hybrid projects combine wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen.
Wind has long been a key contributor to clean energy globally, and with over 8,000 industry professionals and 200 exhibitors gathering at Australia Wind Energy 2026 (AuWE2025) in Melbourne, it’s clear that interest and momentum for wind energy in Australia are quickly rising.
Powering Australia’s Shona had the pleasure of participating as a panellist at the Regional Development Forum during AuWE2025, joining Franco Santucci (Arthur D. Little), Kellie O’Callaghan (RDA Gippsland), Lisa Maro (ICN Victoria), and Bernard Rolfe (Deakin University) to discuss “Reviving Australia’s Manufacturing Industry Towards a Net Zero Future.”
The panel explored how strong local supply chains, innovation, and targeted investment can rebuild domestic manufacturing capacity, particularly in clean energy technologies, to power Australia’s net zero ambitions.
Powering Australia is proud to contribute its voice to these important conversations shaping the nation’s clean energy future and looks forward to supporting the continued success of Australia’s clean-tech manufacturing base.
