Powering Australia submits Transport Innovation Precinct Pre-budget

Powering Australia is pleased to share our proposal for the development of a ‘Transport Innovation Precinct’ in our Pre-Budget Submission to the Federal Government.

The Transport Innovation Precinct offers a practical solution to assist Australian transport manufacturers de-risk innovation by providing access to basic testing infrastructure in a dedicated precinct.

With transport manufacturing already one of Australia’s largest industries, adding $12billion to the economy, employing well over 70,000 people, and supporting our critical mining and freight industries, supporting continued growth and innovation is vital.

Our Transport Innovation Precinct concept has already received wide industry support and is a practical solution to capitalise on the opportunities identified in our recently released sector plan – HORIZON 2035: A PATH TO LOW EMISSIONS TRANSPORT.
