Powering Skills Organisation releases 2025 Energy Sector Workforce Plan

Powering Australia’s Chair Tim Shanahan and CEO Shannon O’Rourke congratulate Powering Skills Organisation (PSO) on the release of its 2025 Energy Sector Workforce Plan. The plan’s release coincides with a tremendous growth in the need for a skilled workforce to drive our renewables manufacturing industry, a need accelerated in response to the Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries scheme.

Tim and Shannon welcomed the plan’s focus on growing the pipeline of workers entering these industries, alongside efforts to improve workforce diversity. They were also pleased to see the plan address ongoing training for electrical trades, especially in emerging areas like EV V2X charging and home batteries, all increasingly IoT enabled.

Powering Australia is proud to collaborate closely with PSO and like-minded organisations to build our skilled, future-ready clean-tech workforce, especially for the battery manufacturing sector.
