Cleaner energy networks

Overview

As Australia accelerates its clean energy transition, opportunities are emerging to modernise and expand the electricity networks that connect generation, industry and communities.

Over the past twelve months, Powering Australia, in collaboration with Cyan Ventures, Deloitte and industry stakeholders, has developed a Networks Sector Competitiveness Plan outlining pathways to strengthen Australia’s grid infrastructure and capture economic value from network transformation.

The plan prioritises key opportunities in transmission expansion and grid modernisation, supported by digital integration, storage technologies, and enabling services. Together, these will underpin reliable, flexible electricity supply and support the growth of new clean industries across the nation.
